Warranty Policy for EV Chargers

1. Overview of Warranty Coverage

Besser Greentech is committed to ensuring the quality and performance of our EV chargers. We offer two levels of warranty coverage, depending on whether our team performs the installation or if the installation is conducted by the customer.

Scenario 1: Installation with contractor approved by Besser Greentech

  • Duration: 1 – 3 Years depending on model
  • Coverage: Includes repair or replacement of the EV charger at no additional cost for defects arising from manufacturing issues. Labor costs for any necessary replacement are also covered.
  • Exclusions: The warranty does not cover damage resulting from pre-existing components such as cables, MCCB, RCCB, or ELCB. The warranty also excludes defects due to misuse, abuse, improper maintenance, or use with incompatible equipment. Cosmetic damages, incidental damages, or damages from unauthorized modifications are not covered.

 

Scenario 2: Self-Installation by Customers

  • Duration: 1 – 3 Years depending on model
  • Coverage: Provides for replacement of the EV charger if defects are found to be due to manufacturing faults. Customers are responsible for returning the defective charger to Besser Greentech for inspection and replacement.
  • Exclusions: The warranty is void if damage is caused by pre-existing components including cables, MCCB, RCCB, or ELCB. Additionally, the warranty does not cover defects resulting from improper installation, misuse, or failure to follow operational guidelines.

To maintain the validity of the warranty, the following conditions must be met:

  • Commencement: The warranty starts from the date of delivery of the EV charger from Besser Greentech.
  • Installation: Must be performed by a Besser Greentech-approved installer if applicable.
  • Usage: The charger must be used with the electricity supply specified on its rating label and exclusively for charging electric vehicles.
  • Maintenance: The charging cable should be placed in the holding socket when not in use (for tethered units). The charger must not be altered or serviced by unauthorized individuals. Any tampering or unauthorized modifications will void the warranty.
  • Repairs: Must be conducted by Besser Greentech’s team or appointed agents.
  • Location: The charger must remain at its original installation site.
  • Purchase: The warranty applies only to chargers purchased from and provided by Besser Greentech. For chargers not purchased from Besser Greentech but installed by our team, the warranty period is reduced to 3 months and covers only installation-related issues.

This warranty does not cover:

  • Damage incurred during transportation, improper use, or wear and tear.
  • Consumable items or accessories not supplied by Besser Greentech.
